The Symphony Breast Pump comes closer to nature than ever! It is ideal for long-term frequent pumping needs and is designed to support working mothers. It is also used by mothers who experience breast feeding problems and by first-time mothers unsure of their pumping goals. The new microprocessor-controlled Medela Symphony is the first and only breast pump offering an equivalent 2-Phase Pumping Program, named 2-Phase® Expression.
This breast pump is absolutely hygienic as there is no contact between breastmilk and the pumping system. A pump/collection kit comprising breastshield(s), tubing, collection bottle(s) etc. must be purchased for use with the pump, for hygiene reasons. If you have a collection kit you have the option to rent the pump only. There are also options to rent a pump including the purchase of a single (€18) or double kit (€28). Single pump kit for the Medela Symphony breast pump: This kit consists of a bottle, valve, breast shield and tubing which connect on to the pump.
These items can be sterilised, boiled and are dishwasher safe. Double pump kit for the Medela Symphony breast pump: The double kit allows milk to be expressed from both breasts at the same time. This reduces pumping time and promotes an increase in milk production. Double pumping can help increase prolactin, the milk-producing hormone. This kit contains two of each of the items mentioned in the single pump kit.
